What calibration methods are available for presses?

1, there is a certain gap between the guide rail and the slider
The gap between the slider and the guide rail is adjusted mainly for precision considerations, if the adjustment is too tight, there may be overheating. For precision machine tools, especially large stroke, high repetition frequency of CNC machine tools, due to the slider and the guideway between a certain relative movement and the surface roughness increases. Typically, the size of each side of a small machine ranges from 0.02 to 0.05mm, while the size of each side of a large machine is 0.03 to 0.20mm.

    2. Overall clearance
Regarding the adjustment method of the overall clearance: in the production process, touch the body of the slider that is moving with your hand, when the slider reaches the lower dead center it will vibrate, which means that the overall clearance is too large and needs to be corrected immediately.

    3, the slider linkage lock
As a result of prolonged use or overload, the connecting rod may become loose, this situation is usually considered to be a manifestation of overload; in addition, if the combined parts appear to be oil leaching, which may also mean that an overload has occurred; there is also a situation in which the connecting rod has not been found to have significant deformation in normal operation. In this case, we must quickly adjust the tightness of the connecting rod locking mother, because this involves the overall safety hazards.

4、Routine maintenance of brake and clutch
Brakes and clutches in presses are key components to ensure the safe operation of presses, and they are the main cause of major safety accidents. Therefore, it is vital to understand the infrastructure of these components and to thoroughly assess their safety performance before daily operations begin. Maintenance reports should be made as soon as any abnormality is detected, such as a slider that fails to stay in a specific position, abnormal sounds during operation, vibrations or sluggish movements.
In addition, maintenance staff operating the brake and clutch friction plates with excessive clearance between them may result in increased use of compressed air, which may cause the ram of the press to creep. In severe cases, the slider may move once in a row, a situation that should never be tolerated. Therefore, in practice, the clearance of the brake and clutch should be adjusted appropriately according to the part and degree of the fault. If the adjusted clearance is too small, then the brake and clutch friction plates may cause problems such as friction, overheating, and increased motor current, and may cause damage to the return spring. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the brake and clutch are used correctly in conjunction with each other to maintain a reasonable clearance during the production process. (The standard clearance range is 1.5~3.0mm).

High-speed punching machine compared to ordinary punching machine, there are mainly the following aspects of difference. First of all, the stamping speed, high-speed press is usually much faster, the number of times per minute can reach hundreds or even thousands of stamping, while the ordinary press is relatively slow.
Secondly, in terms of precision, the precision of high-speed presses is usually higher, to meet the needs of more precise parts stamping. Furthermore, the structural design and parts selection of high-speed presses pay more attention to stability and durability to adapt to the requirements of high-speed operation.
