What are the skills required of a punch press repairer?

   Punch press maintenance personnel need to have the following skills:

   I. Mechanical maintenance skills
    Precision adjustment
        Master the method of precision adjustment of punching machine, including the adjustment of precision parameters such as parallelism, perpendicularity and punching depth of the slider.
        Be able to optimise the adjustment of the precision of the press according to the requirements of different stamping processes to ensure the quality of the stamped parts.

        Ability to repair mechanical components, such as replacing worn out bearings, gears, slide guides, etc.
        Ability to repair the body of a punch press, such as welding cracks and reinforcing weak areas.

    Knowledge of electrical system
        Understand the electrical control system of the punch press, including circuit diagrams, controllers, sensors, motors and other components of the working principle and connection.
    Troubleshooting and diagnosis
        Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, able to use various testing tools, such as multimeter, oscilloscope, etc., to test and analyse the electrical system.

IV. Safety Awareness and Skills
    Safety knowledge
        Understand the safety norms and precautions for the operation of the press, and be familiar with the working principle and use of the safety protection devices of the press, such as the safety door, photoelectric protection device, emergency stop button, etc.. For example, know that you should not put your hand into the mould area during the operation of the punch press to avoid danger.
        Knowledge of electrical safety, such as grounding protection and earth leakage protection, can ensure safety when servicing electrical systems.
