     The following is a case of successfully dealing with an overtravel problem on a high-speed punch press:
   A high-speed punch press in a factory had an overtravel failure during operation. The operator found that the slider exceeded the normal travel range and could not be stopped automatically.
    Maintenance personnel arrived at the scene and took the following steps to deal with the problem:
    Immediately press the emergency stop button to stop the punch press to prevent further damage.

    Checked the stroke limit device and found that the position of the limit switch had shifted. It may have loosened due to prolonged vibration.
    Readjust the position of the limit switch so that it can accurately detect the travel limit of the slide.
